Lim for the Win

September 28, 2013

For my first post out in the public eye I chose an outfit that incorporated stand out Phillip Lim pieces. As said in my last post, I checked out Lim's new line at Target and absolutely loved it! I ended up buying two pieces which were the black joggers (they were actually men's!) and the mustard Pashli-esque bag. I wanted the joggers to be the main piece in my outfit so i chose a classic white blouse and tucked it in to show off the high waist design. To add a personal touch to the outfit I chose a gold collar necklace and layered it with my two favorite necklaces - this also tied in really well with the gold hardware on the bag. For my shoes, I've been obsessed with these white platform sandals and wanted to get my last few wears out of them before sandal season ended & they added an edgy flavor to the overall simplistic outfit.

Limited Expense

                                 September 21, 2013

Within a day of busy errands, i found time to stop in and check out the new 3.1 Phillip Lim line at Target. I put together a simple, business-esque outfit for my Sunday shopping. Starting with a thick gold chain to add a fun edgy touch to a simple white turtle neck tank underneath a leather detailed black blazer. The indigo jeans were a casual touch compared to the top portion of my outfit which seemed more on the formal side. Completing the outfit with black point toe flats and a stand out white, structured leather bag made everything tie together.

Autumn Genesis

September 14, 2013

I wanted to start off my blog on a casual note, so i threw on some of my go to pieces. I love loose, casual dresses to transition from summer into autumn, which makes this one from Urban Outfitters so perfect; and of course we can't forget a loose cardigan to throw off a casual yet put together vibe, and also serve as a comfy layer. Surprisingly, it was cold where i was today so the black beanie topped off this outfit. Edgy boots and vintage jewelry finished off this look for me.
